I am currently an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology. I received my Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics from Brown University and my B.E. in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University. I received the Acta/Scripta Materialia Outstanding Reviewer Award in 2022. My research interest resides in designing more mechanically resilient materials and structures for aerospace and energy applications and enabling more socioresilient utilization of these materials throughout their life cycles. Concurrently with this major research thrust, I am committed to constructing a machine learning-enabled open-access platform for materials characterization.
